Your one-vehicle ticket includes access to:
• Screening of The Sandlot
• Live Chicago Cubs game watch party
• Play Ball Zone featuring kids baseball challenges and activities
• Ballpark Bites food and beverage offerings, available for purchase
• Keepsake Dugout, featuring collectibles and customization opportunities
• 4th of July Fireworks to close the night

5:00pm: Movie screening: The Sandlot

7:00pm: Saint Louis Cardinals @ Chicago Cubs

9:15pm: Fireworks

FAQs

Q: What time do gates open?

A: Gates open at 4:00 PM.

Q: What is the latest I can arrive for this event?

A: Gates will close at 7:00 PM. Please note that once you leave, re-entry is not permitted.

Q: Are there any specific arrival instructions?

A:  The McHenry Outdoor Theater is located at 1510 N Chapel Hill Rd, McHenry, IL 60051. Pull up to the box office off of Chapel Hill Road

Q: Does everyone in my vehicle need a ticket?

A: Individual tickets are not required, tickets are issued per vehicle.

Q: How do I hear audio for the screenings?

A: You will tune-in on your car radio, instructions will be provided upon arrival. Speakers are available for rent from McHenry Outdoor Theater. 

Q: Can I bring chairs and blankets?

A: Yes! We encourage you to bring chairs and blankets to enjoy the screenings either inside your vehicle or under the stars.

Q: Can I leave this event and come back later?

A: No re-entry is permitted. If you leave the drive-in for any reason, you will not be permitted to re-enter. 

Q: What time is the Play Ball Zone open?

A: The Play Ball Zone will have activities between 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

Q: What time do the fireworks start?

A: Fireworks will begin after sunset, around 9:30pm. 

Q: Will there be food and drinks available?

A: Yes, Ballpark Bites themed concessions will be available for purchase from 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM. 21+ for alcohol.

Q: Can I bring my own food and drinks?

A: Outside food and beverages are not permitted.

Q:  Is this event rain or shine?

A: In the event of severe weather, the rain date is July 5, 2026. Follow McHenry Outdoor Theater on Facebook for updates. 

Q: Will there be team merchandise for sale?

A: Team merchandise will not be available, but we will have event keepsakes and giveaways.

Q: Can I charge my electric vehicle while at the event?

A: Please come to the event fully charged, charging stations are not available. 

Q: Do you have restrooms?

A: Of course! 

Q: Can I bring my pet?

A: We love your furry friends, but for this special event, please leave your pets at home. 

Q: Can I run my car throughout the event?

A: Running your car is not allowed. Simply turn your key to the "Accessory" position only to enjoy the event. If you experience a dead battery, jumps are provided if needed. Many patrons like to sit out on warmer evenings and would not enjoy breathing in another car's fumes.

Q: Are there any other restricted items or venue policies?
